up to the store paper n'coffee drift on home waving, quick "toot" to each neighbour they wave back they know the car slow country turn left lane for a left turn back down the laneway too far to walk
What a fun country morning ride. I love the friendliness of the country and miss that.http://judyidliketosay.blogspot.com/2010/11/permission-granted.html
The familiarity of country neighbours - is there anything that is more gentle and comforting? Since moving from a big city to a small country village, the inclusion that one feels from being known and knowing just about everyone has its own comforts.
too bad, sounds like a fine walk

I loved that, when I lived in a village - everyone would lift just fingers up off the steering wheel in informal greeting - so lovely.
ReplyDeleteOld ollie,

Best wishes, Eileen
