silent poem

a poem
a small poem
etched out of the silence
just a few pen scratches

last note
of a fading song

  9. Awww, this made me feel sad. I loved it, but it struck a melancholy chord in me.

  10. p.s. and I hope this is not the last note of a fading song, but only one blue note in a melody that is generally up-tempo (smiles)

  16. Brother Ollie,

Sometimes the most depthful thoughts can be captured in a very succinct style. Your poetic words were just perfect:)

    Best of summer wishes,
    Eileen.

  17. i've been reading basho and buson lately, only a little but still. and too, i've been needing silence, the appearance of only a few words at a time, or perhaps no words and only a blackbird flying through. in this way coming here and reading you becomes a different experience. I hear you more clearly.)))
