dozer

bulldozer rumbles
ploughing over trees
pulling up roots
that cling to ice age rock

tremors shake
mud quakes
windows rattle

I turn the radio up
and look away

  1. Are storms and flooding near you, Ollie? I do hope you are safe. Unpredictable times, we are living.

  2. Love poems that play the radio. Use the metaphor myself. Something from youth, that linked a generation together, AM music and DJs on the radio. It was all so random. No self-selecting. At a certain age we all tear up roots. But in poems and our minds there's always the radio...nicely done.
