Poems by Brother Ollie: the Tired Monk
Old Ollie,I could see the picture very clearly through your words. Just wonderful!!Eileen
Daydreaming was the best part of school. Hell, in all those years in a desk I must have traveled the globe ten thousand times over (it's nothing like they tell you).Great write.
I did that a lot of times too....this is fun ~
We have all been through the same daydream so many times...even the time of daydreams is now lost. Good one!
I like this very much, it bought back memories (though I never had a bike) :-(
Wonderful poem, loved how it took me back to wishing the class away looking out the windows.
Fifty years disappeared in a decade of lines, thank you for that...
I was back in grade three. Yippee! Thanks for the transportation.
The second stanza reads much faster that the first... I can feel the excitement. Well done.~laurie
Oh, I could see it all--well done! This was fun.Gayle
Happiness. Giddy hsppiness. Haven't seen that in quite a while.
I always hated it when someone woke me from my daydreams. Great memories though.
Ohh yeah, know that feeling.
I so love your slices of life snippets. Can feel the joy.
