really
really a monk?
I've got a bowl, a robe,
I pray
last night
I really shaved my head -
but can one tonsure a persona?
please accept this ever so subtle nudging of the fourth wall - some days...the fourth wall is all I got
and yet one sneeze shatters...
I'm so happy to see the monk came out for this challenge.
ReplyDelete(PS. I never doubted...)
good question, CAN one tonsure a persona? hmmm.
ReplyDeleteCan one? By addressing the prompt, you prompt more thought. Clever, clever monk. Always leading, teaching.
ReplyDeleteForth, or Fourth? I'm mystified.
ReplyDeleteGesundheit!
ReplyDeleteGreat question ... if you ask my sister (the fashionista) she will give you a resounding, hell yes it can!!!!!! Loved this.
ReplyDelete... AND don't even get me started on the media!!!!!
DeleteOllie,
ReplyDeleteI am certain that the monk is in his heart, leading the life which befits his calling. The long robes and the other signs, are simply a reminder. His heart is hidden and only he can truly know...
I think though that, the monk can have many days of doubt and wonderment, just as those who have a bad hair day:)
Best Wishes,
Eileen
I love it, Ollie.........the tired monk has such a wondering heart. I think your persona is tonsured to perfection:)
ReplyDeleteHmmm? Can you tonsure a persona? Can you tuna fish? And are you REALLY a monk?!!
ReplyDeleteThe outward does not make the inner person. But you know that.
ReplyDeletedoes having the elements make one so...and is that what they are looking for or to be...
ReplyDeleteOllie,
ReplyDeleteso happy to see you hear?
I love that you question yourself, you opened
the door wide...
What a great way to reveal...
Hey, sometimes in life you need something to hold you up. A Tire Old Monk. A Fourth Wall, what ever works.
