gone lost
somewhere
moving
to the beyond beyond
missing brothers
brothers missing
their fathers
so much more
than diminished
numbers
it is missing
every word they
don't write,
every song they
don't sing.
Here at the monastery we've lost a brace of brothers, and fathers. We've decided to take practical action; in the hope that it'll be the answer to prayer. Us monks love music, so we'll try to use this vessel to raise funds and awareness to save the lives of brothers, sons, and fathers.
Please check it out, join, support, and pass it on.

It is sad to lose brothers and fathers. I am glad the community will gather to help those still here. I look forward to hearing more about this.
ReplyDeleteThis is excellent.

ReplyDelete"moving / to the beyond beyond" the void is felt deeply...
ReplyDeleteI know what it's like to miss someone, to miss "every word they don't write [or say or sing or whatever]." Well put.
ReplyDeleteso true. "missing every word they don't write, every song they don't sing."
ReplyDeleteThis is so very poignant!
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely, there is so much more to missing than one realizes before one really, REALLY misses!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I relate. I lost two brothers a month apart in 2001.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said.
ReplyDeleteI cannot really know how it will feel... or maybe I will leave before my sister one day.
ReplyDeleteso much more
ReplyDeletethan diminished
numbers
Not so much missing their presence but more in missing their talents. Numbers can translate to increased donations brought by their contribution in talents! Very poignant call Brother Ollie!
