Fighting Monk

some of the young novices
swing fists
kick bite
sting first so as to not get stung

old robes fly to block, envelop bloody fists
the monk knows
his fists used to rise often

  1. Reminds me of the first Kung Fu movie I ever saw: Five Fingers of Death. Would like to see it again for old time sake. Good post.

  7. Sometimes a good punch is needed. Wisdom lets us accept when its needed by others. So, we embrace the blow in times such as those.
