I think Jack and Jesus would have gotten along pretty well. Jack might have had some harsh things to Jesus. Jesus might have laughed and then said, "Hey man, that was my Dad, not me."
I love the play on the word "role/roll" (as in typewriter). This is true to the Kerouac spirit, how he simplifies old-time spiritual matters for the young'uns, and the lofty sense that someone has to stand in for heaven's images. Nicely done.
