i feel about five different immediate reactions to this, my first just slightly ahead of the others, excitement. close behind this is a quiet and maybe even shamefulness carried, for not considering the other four in the same instant.
it doesn't have to be faith though, does it? but rather, an awareness.
I would think a strong faith would preclude the need to pray, at least in any pleading way. But you can also pray in praise and thanks, and strong faith would behest one to do so.
i love erin but i have to take up disagreement. awareness will not do. awereness shows you how thinks are. faith shows you how to live despite the way things are.
Loved the word choices. Very nice. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

"like a heavy koan". I can feel the weight of this thought. Wonderful poem, Ollie.

ReplyDeletehmmm...certainly words to ponder. much given here with few words.
ReplyDeleteI can think of many reasons, in fact, faith might be the least common. I'm not any good with koans, though.

Glad I popped over from One Shot!
