Poems by Brother Ollie: the Tired Monk
i was just talking to robert about how we are born with myths such as deservedness/rights/entitlement, immortality, significance, happiness, luxury, and how we have to work at dispelling these myths over and over again, person after person. these rusty rhythms!xoerin
Love the "deep reverie, slow pipe pulls"........deep reflection this morning, Ollie.
This is Zen enough for me...like the effect the words create in the mind.
I love how you worked the juxtaposition of smoky thoughts ascending to the treetops and the steel toes of practicality.
I like the notion of venn vs zen - where the idea of finding the common ground sits where the circles intersect.
Smokey thoughts rise to heaven...
Old Ollie,I sense deep contemplation amongst the rising rings of smoke!Best Regards, Eileen
