a temple dog night

one last rattling door check
lights off  - candles out
tired monk duties done
good night

the temple dog rises, stretches
dashes from her dog bed
to the warmth of the couch
good night

  1. Old Ollie,

What a clever temple dog. Au fait with the nightly routine, which of course leads to greater comfort and a place of warmth.
I am pleased that the tired monk seems to be back into his worldly routine again:)

    Happy Monday,
    Eileen

  5. Very interesting. Different than a lot of what I've read lately. I like it...a nice picture is painted.

  10. Hey there! It's been awhile :) Love the poetry you've found in the ordinary here. I need not overlook the everyday for inspiration as I often do. It's everywhere is your eyes are open to it.
