Poems by Brother Ollie: the Tired Monk
used to live in this cabin/shack.that only had wood heat...cutting wood is like a meditation....for sure...
I did not expect it to end that way...
A real certainty comes from the blow of an axe...satisfying i should imagine - just like this poem
Sounds like a positive thing to splinter those harsh words....leaving them unrecognizable in the end.
harsh words can be the worst
To chop wood is one of the really relaxing activities that make the hard words dissipate.
It's a great way to let off steam to be sure.
harsh words need that blow....
Brother Ollie,It seemed like life was fine, until that final blow. It took its toll and destroyed the mood...Splinters leave a nasty wound...Happy Sunday,Eileen
Oh I remember chopping wood! Careful when you test that blade. Yoiks! I winced, in sympathy!
working in the woods is really pleasant and it tires in a good way :)
Splintering that wood seems like a great way to burn off steam...and harsh words. Cool piece.
The words had me there hearing the wood cracking and splitting...the chips flying...the thud of the crash of ax on wood.Donna@LivingFromHappiness
love the simplicity in it.cheers.

The heat from the fire is that much satisfying knowing that you have put much into creating it.
i get the feeling you are chopping wood to get rid of some sort of frustration, well, thats good toohttp://myblog-verses.blogspot.com/2015/02/27.htmlmuch love...
what to expect from the edge on the axe... a way of releasing negativities
Oh yes, I have seen my father do just that (long ago)! And it's a fine metaphor too. :)
The simplicity of chopping, it makes a new perspective.
Chopping wood is a great stress reliever!! You get so much out. This reminds me of my step dad. I'm pretty sure he releases a lot while out chopping. Great poem :)
Thanks for helping with the development of Olsonomics.
