stocking the pond

clear plastic bag
swirling full
of 41 cent fish
flow
into the garden pond

novice monks run
looking deep
for the gold glints
and silver fin flicks

the tired monk
watches the smiles

  1. Stocking is an act of kindness a blessing in fact. It runs in line with nature's right of extending the flock. Continue the good work B.Ollie!

  2. We passed a truck, loaded with fish to stock the river the other day. It has Live Fish written on the side and so my boys were wondering. Cool moment, nice to see new life infect the pond.

  3. Brother Ollie,

Some time for a little relaxation and enjoyment. Seeing the smiles on new faces, brings an inner warmth and feelgood factor. I hope that the new intake of gold fish will appreciate the blessings found in their new surroundings too:)

  17. I, too, love water gardens. One holds Koi, the other, native species. And of course they both accommodate the dogs.
