a tired monk moment

cranky
on this cusp of Christmas
pot rattling, grinding, brewing

the tired monk
ponders a new idea
a moment amidst morning duties
a new holday:
the International Day of Sleeping In

  7. I'm old so I get to have those every day--(and no, they don't ever get boring after a lifetime of six am coffee.) Liked your grumpy take on a highly over-rated season.

  17. I really feel that there should be an international day of sleeping in and it should be taken as seriously as Christmas. In fact every day should be an international day of sleeping in. I hate getting up early in the mornings and going to school. That's why i can relate to your poem.
I like your style of writing too. it's rather crisp.
