Demons

i)

demons are circling
just behind the fence
waiting

the tired monk sees 'em
pretends not too
waiting

ii)

the tired monk
walks his temple

checks the doors
stout staff thuds
with every step

  3. Keep those demons away. Or invite them in for tea.

  4. Ollie,

The tired monk is still in control. The very thump of his staff must be warding off anything that dares to trouble him. ( I hope )

    Best wishes,
    Eileen

  7. There is something infinitely comforting to know that our monk is on duty to ward off night terrors.

  8. A stout staff is all you need, apparently, to make demons flee!

  10. Oh I so need a stout staff! Love the word "thud". Makes me think of how they'd say, back in the day, someone was "a dull thud". And now I COMPLETELY understand what that means, as my gray matter ages. Hee hee.
