Ditch Box

on a country curve
sniffed by my dog
in the ditch
snow slips down the edges
reveals
a box
stained and beaten

lid rises
sides fall apart
broken and soaked
inside...comics
wrapped tight n'taped
in plastic
safe from the damp

  5. What a find! And what a vivid description. When my son renovated an old house he found the floorboards lined with newspapers from the 1920s! What a find that was!
