two notebook poems

i)

country music played background low
faint gunshots echo from the forest edge
 - wild turkey season opening day -
morning fire crackles, kettle whistles
tired monk ponders earl grey poems

ii)

loose under sink pipe
dirty dish water surge
quick tool box search
finds a  spanner wrench
and a lost notebook
of summer poems

    1. I left a book of poems tucked in a pocket of a canvas bag last summer.

  2. Poems can be found anywhere, everywhere. In an old canvas bag. Atop a faded photo. Floating in air. Wrapped around an ancient spanner's handle. On Brother Ollie's ole blog. Always a pleasure to hear from the tired monk and wild turkeys.
